Hungarian success in IP diplomacy at WIPO

On 1 December 2025, Mr Péter Lábody, Vice President for Legal and International Affairs of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO), was elected to the position of Chair of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for the sessions in 2026 and 2027.

This success is the acknowledgement of the efforts of Hungary and HIPO performed in the field of international copyright
